The Master of Education (MEd) in Leadership is designed for educators who want to expand their impact within their schools and communities. Through a flexible, fully online learning experience, participants develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to lead teams, support student success, and drive meaningful educational change.

City University is pleased to offer exclusive scholarship opportunities for eligible Associate Member Society (AMS) of the FISA BC pursuing graduate studies.
Fall 2026
- 5 Master of Education in Leadership scholarships, each valued at 50% of total tuition
* City University will manage the application process and adjudication process for the scholarships.
Scholarships are awarded each term in accordance with City University policies.

Prerequisites
- Have a minimum of three years of teaching experience following completion of their degree.
- Be actively employed in a teaching role at the time the scholarship is awarded.
- Submit a 600–800-word essay describing their experience and demonstrated leadership in five of the following competency areas:
- Fostering Effective Relationships
- Modelling Commitment to Professional Learning
- Embodying Visionary Leadership
- Leading a Learning Community
- Supporting the Application of Foundational Knowledge about First Nations, Métis and Inuit
- Providing Instructional Leadership
- Developing Leadership Capacity
- Managing School Operations and Resources
- Understanding and Responding to the Larger Societal Context
Applications will be reviewed and assessed by a scholarship selection committee. Scholarships will be awarded competitively based on the overall strength and quality of the application.
