Associate Faculty
I am a white, cisgender, queer, neurodivergent, superfat counsellor and coach who has worked at the nexus of body liberation, fat acceptance, eating disorders, relationships, and sex for over 10 years. My work is guided by social justice, anti-colonialism, connection, and play. I am the owner of Tend and Cultivate Counselling – a group practice dedicated to providing non-stigmatizing fat mental health.
Research
My research interests include anti-fat bias in mental health, atypical anorexia nervosa, and the heteronormativity of discourse around low sexual desire.
Teaching
I believe in a collaborative learning environment that invites the lived experiences, curiosity, and wisdom of each student. Incorporating a feminist, anti-colonial ethic to the classroom means cultivating a place that allows for learning and unlearning, growth and critique. I strive to be of service to those I teach.
