Admission and Enrollment

The Office of Admissions provides guidance and support throughout the application process, helping prospective students choose the right program, gather necessary documents, and meet admission requirements.

Once admitted, the Enrollment Services team assists students with course registration, academic planning, and orientation to ensure a smooth start to their studies. Together, Admissions and Enrollment Services are dedicated to making every student’s transition to CityU as seamless and supportive as possible.

Graduate Transfer Credit Policy

Students may transfer up to 25% of the total required credits for a graduate degree or certificate program, not to exceed 12 quarter credits. All transfer courses must have a grade of B (3.0) or higher and come from recognized institutions.

Transfer credits can be applied through:

Direct equivalency (matching CityU courses by number, title, or content)
Course waiver or substitution
Approved specialized study

To graduate, students must complete all remaining credits in residency at CityU, except for the transfer credits allowed by policy.

Maximum Transfer Credits by Program Size:

12–18 credits required: up to 3 transfer credits
24–30 credits required: up to 6 transfer credits
36–47 credits required: up to 9 transfer credits
48+ credits required: up to 12 transfer credits
