Our Student Success Team’s mission is to provide tailored services that support and enhance each student’s individual learning experience from initial inquiry through graduation. By offering cohesive processes, personalized guidance, and comprehensive academic and non-academic supports, the team is committed to helping students achieve their educational goals and succeed throughout their academic journey.

Global Student Resources

Global Student Resources

City University offers a wide range of global student resources accessible to all students, designed to support a diverse and inclusive learning community. These resources include academic support, cultural programming, career guidance, wellness services, and access to technology that connects students worldwide.

Whether you are studying on campus, online, or as an international student, CityU ensures that every student has the tools and support needed to succeed academically, socially, and professionally. Our commitment is to create an environment where all students, regardless of location or background, can thrive and fully engage in their educational journey.

Library Services

The CityU Library staff provides personalized, program-specific support to students and faculty worldwide. Librarians work closely with faculty to design course-integrated research guides and instruction in support of specific assignments as well as students’ lifelong learning. Through collaboration and engagement with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and program directors, librarians ensure that students learn the critical skills needed to be successful.

The CityU library is 98% digital, providing access whenever and wherever students are learning to over 284,000 e-books, 74,000 journals, and 87,000 videos selected by librarians to meet program requirements. In addition, CityU reimburses the purchase of community cards from students’ local university libraries in Canada which allows access to resources, including book checkout, at these academic libraries as well.

Accessibility Services

City University in Canada is committed to providing an inclusive learning environment where all students have equal access to academic opportunities.

Students seeking accommodations can connect with Student Services to discuss their needs and develop an individualized plan that supports their academic success.

Academic Accommodations

Academic accommodations are determined on an individual basis and may include extended testing time, alternative formats for course materials, note-taking assistance, or other adjustments that support academic success. Students are encouraged to contact Accessibility Services early in the term to discuss their needs and develop a personalized accommodation plan.

Assistive Technology

Assistive technology may include screen readers, text-to-speech software, speech-to-text tools, magnification programs, captioning services, and other adaptive resources. Students registered with the Student Services can explore and request technologies that best support their individual learning styles and accessibility needs.

Support for Learning differences

City University in Canada values the unique strengths and perspectives that every student brings to the learning community. The University is dedicated to supporting students with learning differences—such as dyslexia, ADHD, or other neurodiverse conditions—by providing individualized resources and accommodations that promote academic success.

Through the Student Services Office, students can access personalized support plans, academic coaching, and assistive technologies designed to help them fully engage with their coursework. CityU’s goal is to foster an inclusive environment where all students can learn, grow, and thrive.
