Associate Faculty – Master of Counselling Virtual Campus
Jed is a Registered Psychologist in the province of Alberta. They practice in the area of clinical and counselling psychology with a focus on operational stress, moral injury, and attachment. They have worked in in a variety of settings include child psychology, refugee care, substance use treatment, and veterans clinics. Currently, Jed works with 2SLGBTQIA+ health, dissociative disorders, concurrent substance use disorders, and personality disorders in private practice. They work from a psychodynamic perspective through intersubjective and object relations theory.
Research
Jed’s current research interests include tension-reduction activities (TRAs) in those with concurrent substance use and personality disorders, reactance in treatment, and avoidance coping in substance use.
Teaching
Jed believes in person-centred teaching, experiential learning, and self-reflective practices.
