Associate Faculty
Robert is an Associate Professor with CityU. He holds over 15 years of experience working in post-secondary education as well as supporting the mental health of others in both the community health and private sectors. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, Robert has supported many individuals with a variety of complex mental health issues and psychopathology. As a clinical supervisor, Robert has supported practicum students in completing their degrees and succeeding post-graduation. He continues to offer his knowledge, expertise, and passion for supporting students in higher education within his faculty role at CityU.
Research
Robert’s research interests include stress, distress, trauma, grief & loss, identity development, and gender.
Teaching
Robert teaches from a constructivist lens, encouraging a learner-centered approach. Robert recognizes that there are many different ways in which adults can interact and make meaning with learning material. He fosters dialogue and collaboration and values active participation and reflection.
