Faculty
Tina joined the CityU faculty in 2021 bringing 25-plus years school counselling experience, Kindergarten through Grade 12. She shares her thoughts from her positions as District Elementary Counsellor, Secondary Counsellor, FASD District Partner, Behavior Specialist, Addictions Counsellor, classroom teacher, and as a teacher trainer on mental health/trauma/behavior topics. She was a member of the District Multidisciplinary Team (to support complex situations), Critical Incident Team and Autism Team.
In Tina’s CityU courses, theory is offered through a lens of compassionate, authentic scenarios to explore how best to uniquely support each person.
On a personal note, Tina competes in distance athletic events and has completed Ironman Canada and the road cycling Gran Fondo event. With a personal passion to support those with disabilities/challenges, Tina looks and advocates for all who may need any support, and she is always seeking new opportunities for inclusion and for that individual’s chance to be seen and understood.
